I am on several insurance panels, including Aetna, First Choice and TriCare.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am reimbursable by any plan that allows out-of-network providers. Most plans at least partially reimburse for out-of-network providers, to allow greater freedom of choice. If you are uncertain about your insurance plan, call your provider and specifically ask, “Do you reimburse for out-of-network providers?”, as they might not include this as an option when explaining your benefits. In the event they do reimburse, I can provide you with a detailed receipt you can submit for repayment.
